Mass MOCA

Thought I'd share some birthday trip pics to the Berkshires where my boyfriend and I went to visit the Mass MOCA

Here's the BF posing near one of Guy Ben-Ner props. He creates these fun and intuitive videos usually having his family as his cast members. My favorite was one he had set up in an Ikea. You see all the tags on the furniture and all the people shopping, and all the while, he and his family are acting out their parts and taping through all of it.

Sol Lewitt's Exhibit below was the best part. We were able to view the documentary that showed all the meticulous planning that goes into creating each of these amazing pieces.

Went to the Illustration Next Lecture @ SVA hosted by Steve Brodner last week and was left inspired. Check out painter and filmmaker James Blagen and his short film which just won an honorable mention in short filmmaking at 2010 Sundance

Also, Illustrator Alex Juhasz, who illustrated the opening sequence for the TV show
