Wall Street Run

The American Heart Association sponsored the Wall Street Run this past Thursday June 24, 2010.
The temperature was close to 90 degrees and it was my first time running a race since February. Wow, were my lungs screaming!...but I do miss running outdoors, and can't wait to start marathon training this year. This counts as race #2 towards running in the NYC 2011 Marathon :)

Homage to Jesse Owens

This is an illustration I drew for a class assignment. I chose to recreate the famous photograph of Jesse Owens during the 1936 Summer Olympics held in Berlin where the famous athlete blew the world away with his talent and took home 4 gold medals.

Runner's Portrait Series: 03

Meet Jessica Le Bron. She is 1 of 5 of the NYC 5 Borough Super Moms that competed last year in the 10th Annual  Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge during last year's NYC Marathon. The 5 moms ran together as a team halfway, then as they reached mile 13, they became competitors and raced to the finish.

Mass MOCA

Thought I'd share some birthday trip pics to the Berkshires where my boyfriend and I went to visit the Mass MOCA

Here's the BF posing near one of Guy Ben-Ner props. He creates these fun and intuitive videos usually having his family as his cast members. My favorite was one he had set up in an Ikea. You see all the tags on the furniture and all the people shopping, and all the while, he and his family are acting out their parts and taping through all of it.

Sol Lewitt's Exhibit below was the best part. We were able to view the documentary that showed all the meticulous planning that goes into creating each of these amazing pieces.
