'Travel' with me

Tonight is the opening reception for my first solo show,Travels. I hope some folks can come out to celebrate and have a drink with me. :)  I'm excited and I hope everyone enjoys the work.

Inspired by the city assignments from my recent time at the Hartford Art School. I am showcasing this work and some new adventures in my first solo art show.

MoMA for kids

This past summer I became a part time volunteer at the Museum of Modern Art in NY which is one of my favorite museums in the city. For the fall, I am volunteering with the MoMA's Family Programs Group which is a free tour for families along with their parents and and an educator to tour a few pieces of artwork around the museum. This past saturday was my first time helping out and my job was to aid the group educator with the 4 years age group and their families. The children along with their parents went on tour to view 3 paintings. It was so much fun to listen to what the children had to say and the great interaction they had with their parents. It totally made my day. I don't think I was ever that close to a Picasso at the age of 4!
